Handy Packer Bearing Packer 0
I’ve replaced wheel bearings a number of times and one of the minor annoyances is packing the bearing with grease. It’s not a big deal or that much of a hassle, but it’s still one more step that you have to do. I picked up the Lisle Handy Packer Bearing Packer and was very impressed by how well it worked.
Once you put the grease in the Lisle Handy Packer Bearing Packer either by hand, or by attaching a grease gun to the center of the packer and filling the chamber, place the bearing on the spindle, and put the white pusher back on, and apply force with your hand. Pretty simple.
You can see that the grease is packed in the bearing. I applied grease to the outside of the bearing as well and then finished the job as usual. Just wanted to share this tool.
St. Pattys Day 0
I’ve never gone to downtown Cleveland for St. Patrick’s day. This year I thought I would try my best to document everything and that failed around 3 P.M. due to the crowds and battery life on my phone. For the most part, it was pretty incredible. We took the rapid downtown to dodge driving, and ended up meeting with our friends outside the chophouse. Headed over to E.4th for breakfast at Pickwick & Frolicks for a par corned beef sandwich / Rubens. We met up with a few other people at Harry Buffalo and then it really fell apart from there. By then it was 12, the parade was about to start, and nobody could move.
It may actually look like the same photo over and over and over again. But it’s pretty much how E.4th and W.6th were around noon. We didn’t even see the parade, bathrooms were a complete wreck, and most of the people were insane. It’s like day drinking while wearing a green shirt made them forget everything they knew. I’ll do it again next year and hopefully have better battery life.
