One of my favorite spots is the pier down the street from my house. It usually has a few people, never really busy, and looks drastically different different based on the time of day. I used “Microsoft ICE” application to stitch the photos together. I also tried to play with the aperture on my camera resulting in grainy photos. Overall they turned out decent, the green really stood out on the walkway, and the pier did an alright job showing the depth of field.

Subsonic 0

After creating a media center out of my Mac Mini, using El Gato 250 plus for my DVR solution, adding a 1TB drive to store movies and television, and hosting my website, I decided to build upon my Mac Mini some more. I added 4GB or RAM because it was getting a bit slugging running everything at once. The instructions are all over the internet so there is no need for me to post about that. With my Mac running speedy, I decided that I wanted to stream my iTunes library. There were a handful of applications out there that caught my eye, but the one that I decided to use was Subsonic. The installation was quick and easy, the ability to delegate access, create playlists, download entire albums, and get information on every album made it a great choice. Those instructions are plastered all over the internet as well, rather than attempt to explain the process and take credit for someone elses write up, just google it. Subsonics GUI is well organized and neat, there are hardly any complaints about the app at all, especially for the price. One thing that I kept thinking of is how nice of a GUI I could give it with Flex, maybe when I get more time I’ll rewrite it.
